Counselling in Cheltenham

Whatever your difficulties are, we can work together to develop a deeper understanding of your situation,allowing you to find a more hopeful way forward.
I provide short-term and open-ended Face-to-Face Counselling, Telephone Counselling, and Counselling via Skype.
Whichever approach to therapy you choose, I can offer you a safe, confidential space where you can speak freely and without being judged.

In the past I have worked for Cruse Bereavement Care and the Listening Post Counselling Service, both in Cheltenham; the Let's Talk Service of the NHS (Improving Access to Psychological Therapy) in Gloucester, Cheltenham and Stroud; and Care First (Employee Assistance) in Gloucester. I am currently a counsellor with Gloucestershire Counselling Service in Stroud, which I'm enjoying very much.

My training was in an integrative way of working, bringing together Person-Centred and Psychodynamic theory and practice.
This means establishing a relationship of trust with you the client, reflecting on your situation and what it means for you at the present time, and identifying what you would like to achieve.
We may talk about your background and how patterns from the past may be affecting your emotions and behaviours now.
We will look at the possibilities for change in the future, and my goal will be to enable you to discover the resources and practical strategies you need to make these changes.

I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (the BACP), listed with BACP Find-a-Therapist and the Counselling Directory, and I have been working as a counsellor in Gloucestershire for the past ten years.
My therapy room is at my home in the Leckhampton area of Cheltenham, within easy reach of Gloucester, Stroud, Cirencester and Tewkesbury.

My clients bring a wide range of concerns, causing them to have feelings of worry, sadness, hurt or distress.
